Sorry if anyone's offended by my rant, but this is a Show & Tell. I'm showing my cards, and telling my story and opinions.
Panini's not getting any more money of mine. I'm not a big box breaker, but I usually go for UD. I'll buy a Panini box once in a while, but for now, I'm done.
2 Boxes of Crown Royale, and here's my gripes:
Collation - got 2 Ales Hemsky jersey cards in one box. FIX THIS! No reason this should happen, with only 4 measly packs per box.
Printing - The graphics and text are not sharp. I don't know if it's just because every photo and design is buried under 5 inches of unnecessary UV gloss, or if they're simply not designing at a high enough DPI, but I feel like I need to go to the eye doctor while trying to read the words "Heirs To The Throne".
Foil - Enough already. Seriously. Every player's name is in foil. And the font they chose is ALL CAPS and the tracking of the letters is way too close, making it impossible to read unless reflected into the light. The colored foils are ridiculous too. The light blue in this product makes me want to puke. And don't get me started on the rainbow fest that Dominion was...
And, if you're going to do foil, get it right. Every parallel foil name has bad foiling - the foil stamp left bits and pieces of foil in between letters and spaces. Again, this is QC that should be taken care of.
Design - see above, and re-design please! These look so much like last year's cards. Can someone tell Panini it's OK to have some white space too? Light colors and white are OK - this set is way too dark.
Resale - This isn't necessarily Panini's fault, but truth be told, the resale of Panini stuff is just not there. You case busters can vouch for this...even if you get a super card, it's not worth near as much as a comparable UD card.
That being said, here's my two boxes. Even with the few "names" that I did pull, I'll be lucky to get 1/4 of what I spent back. The only redeeming quality of this product is the Silhouettes. I guess I'll just be buying Panini singles from now on. Rather put the money in a reseller's pocket than Panini's until they get it right.

Box 1: 2 Hemskys, Ryan is 68/99, Nemisz is 71/100.
Box 2: Ovy is jsy, Tavares is Patch, 25/50.
ALL are available FT/FS for Rangers or PP. Pick a whole box you like for $35, or LMK what you need.
