So Alffy touched the trophy (he was all over it)

and Niedermayer thought it was the plague (he stood far away).

Lets see which superstition wins!

Meh,
Devils pretty much skated around with it in 03 and they won,
they took a team photo and everything,

It's a ridiculous superstition.
Comes down to the teams, i hate pronger more than I hate the sens (weird really, because I like most of the ducks, but, pronger cancels em all out) so I guess it's go sens, just because of my boy comrie.

Either way I'm not real happy with the cup champ.

OMG!!! My dream final! Selanne vs. the Senators! I can't wait for this series to begin...whoever wins, I'll be happy.

That being said, I'd prefer to see the Sens win, cause I'd love to attend a Stanley Cup parade ;)

I just hope that this does not follow the same script as the last two Cup finals - Canadian team vs. smaller audience US team, with much contrivance by officiating to get the US team to win in 7 games.

My prediction: Ottawa in 6.

Hmmmm, interesting matchup. Sens are tough this yera but the Ducks have been playing well of late. Should be a heckuva series.

Ducks in 6.

Chris: Hey! I'll take those crappy Sens cards off you :p

Im heading out tonight after work to sit at SBP and wait for tickets to go on sale tommorrow AM, hope I get tickets to atleast 1 game, bloody expensive, but well worth it.

It's a battle between my love of Teemu or my disdain for the corporate contrivance of a pro hockey team in Anaheim...As with most decisions, the hatred wins out - Go Sens! - with the champ to be crowned sometime around my birthday in July ;) (nice scheduling NHL!) Besides, I'm probably not alone in the thought that it would be nice to see a Canadian team win this thing again. :)

I'm going to have to say Sens in 4, because if it's Sens in 5 like I really expect, then I'm going to be watching the final on a 4 inch screen in a hospital room just after the new baby comes along! I've already had Stanley vetoed as a name for the new tyke!

I'm wondering if this Cup winner could have the least effect on the hobby that we've seen. The Cane's run did wonders for Staal's cards. Ward came out of common bins as well. The Vinny/St. Louis/Richards craze is still on since they won. It'll be interesting to watch....

I think Staal was more influenced by run at the Art Ross than the playoffs, but that's a different discussion.

I hate the fact that we have to wait a week for this thing to start, and is just further evidence the NHL is an ugly stepsister in the 'major sport' fraternity. When they won't put it against the Indy 500, or NASCAR, we have to wonder why we even hold onto the illusion of a major sporting league anymore.

They need to get back to playing every other night and keeping the momentum going from the end of the season, through the playoffs and up to the end of the Cup. It's not like the NFL lead up to the Superbowl here guys - no one cares what the Sens mascot has to say during 'media week'.

Play the games already. I'm sick of waiting for fans that don't exist to tune in to the game on a Monday afternoon.

I'd really like to see Teemu lifting the Cup...

He's been #1 hockey player to me since he started his career here in Finland, his Cup win would be my sweetest hockeydream... :)

And no, he's not going to end his career... Why should he, after seeing game 6 overtime vs. Wings I realized that he's still just like his nickname! Ducks just need to feed him better, and HE SCORES!!! :)

So I just have to say: Ducks is going to win it in six games.

I'd like to see Canadian team winning the Cup too, but I hope it's not this season... Maybe next... :)
