2008 - 2009 UD McDonald's Hockey Cards?

That's the first design I've seen for them. Looks nice, glad to see a Carey card in there! Hopefully they don't SP it, in the last couple years there's been a small handful of base cards that I just have not been able to pull. I think I got 5 Malkin's last year, though, so I guess there is balance.
 
I just hope that's the true style of them and there's no foilboarding. I absolutely cannot stand the foilboard McD's has used for the last 3 sets.
 
I think you're going to be disappointed then. Foilboarding is extremely popular with the kidses.
 
i love mcdonalds hockey cards, i will be eating lots of it again this year. i can just see the look on there faces again, when i ask for 20+ packs at a time. they always look at you, like you have two heads.lol

I think they're "regionally seeded" more than SP'd. For example, two years ago I pulled about 14 Brendan Morrisons and 2 Mike Modanos and 2 Paul Kariyas in a bunch o'packs...so I was stuck with a bunch of 48/50 base sets. I traded with a guy on the other side of the country who had about 10 Kariyas and 10 Modanos but only a couple Morrisons in all his breaks to help complete each others' sets

I can totally see that, something UD would defintely do. Just like with their Mini Sticks, remember the Luongo fiasco last year? I still have a couple extras for anyone interested...
 
There have always been the urban legends about regionals or unannounced SPs. I remember back to the first set, the rumoured SP was Bourque's base card.

Is it me, or does every employee at every McDonalds have a different answer for how many packs you are qualified to purchase? Some 3 packs per order, some 3 packs per item, some 3 packs for drinks/fries only, other say as many as you want, then when I ask for 50 say, ahh wait a minute. It is frustrating.
Usually when I take my wife and son, I qualify for around 30. Then I feel like a kid opening all those packs after my meal (or sometimes before).
 
LOL @ the poor collation, that's definitely a possibility. A number of times last year I'd buy five packs and two of them would be exactly the same.

wasn't Ovechkin SP'd last year? If not, I got screwed. I only pulled one.

probably opened 60+ packs to find one, maybe upwards of 100!
