2012-13 O-Pee-Chee Wrapper Redemption Program Announced for Canada

I am a set collector and I won't be going for this set.

Putting together the OPC Regular Issue and OPC Retro is good enough.

Ok so a rough working out looks like this

600 cards in the red set and if they dont SP (one per pack) the RC and insersts and you get sent the packs with perfect corilation you will need to redeem 13.88 cases worth of wrappers.

If they DO sp the last 200 cards (rcs and inserts) at one per pack then you are looking at 40.5 cases worth of the product!!!! (4 reg 1sp and one all star card)

Sadists may attempt this set but if you achieve it you deserve a medal!

4.Upper Deck will send one six-card pack for every 50 wrappers received consisting of five red-bordered O-Pee-Chee parallel cards and one All-Star card.

No thanks! This will be near to impossible to complete without a lot of help from fellow collectors.

The odds of doing this red set is actually easier than doing the 2008-09 OPC update gold set.And I know that it was a tough thing to complete. It took me 4 years.I just finished it last week.

Winston,

Congrats on the 2008-09 Gold Update. It was a tough one to place together.

As far as I know, you are one of the few whom attempted it.

Tony

We are doing this as part of our group break that we have listed. In a case you will get just enough wrappers to do just over 8 redemption packs.

50 if not that many considering that there are 36 packs in a $60-$65 box of cards.

I really like the idea of this, but I see UD was kind enough to pull my comment from their blog without answering the question or amending the post -- is this only for hobby wrappers? Is there a difference in the retail vs. hobby packaging?

Given that it's for CDDs - I would have to assume it's hobby packaging. If it's not - then the customer should bear the full cost of shipping to the distributor if that's going to happen with retail wrappers

Last year there was - Hobby wrappers were blue, and retail were orange with a different picture on it

Hama, I would assume so also, but it would be nice if they put that on the site so I don't have people coming over from Wal-Mart and Zellers expecting me to fill their redemptions.
