A few months of mail...special thanks to the Doctor and kmitchel

Only two cards have come in over the last few months, which is honestly 2 more cards than I was expecting to have.


Like many others, I picked this up from the good Dr. Price. I was just a bit too late to pick up the other, more short-printed version, but this is still just as pretty.



2001-02 Be A Player Vintage Auto Gordie Howe 1963-64
- This has a pretty neat serial number as well. It's numbered nine!!!...

Then, in early April, I got a message from exclusives-hunter extraordinare kmitchel (Kevin) alerting me to the presence of one of the remaining 3 elusive cards I needed for my 1999-00 Upper Deck Exclusives set. It was a BIN/BO. I submitted a BO that I was comfortable with, given the circumstances, and a few weeks later, this arrived:

- With this card, I am now down to needing only TWO MORE CARDS from this enormous set of 305, all numbered /100. If you have, or know of anyone that has, the Foote or the Gilmour, I'd much like to try and wrestle it from your dea....I mean, make a deal with you for it :laugh:

Great snag on the exclusive and hope you snag the other 2. The Howe auto has to be the biggest snag. Remember a lot of people were too late on either and you managed to grab one...Nice job

While it was kind of a result of the whale hunting thread, Kevin has been helping me cross off cards from my list YEARS ago! At one point he and another member, roaddogg1718 (Cole) went almost blow-for-blow to see who could help me out the most with the set.
