I listened to a lot of CFL radio/television leading up to the game and many of the analysts are predicting the potential for quite a bit of movement.

Ottawa radio is not 100% convinced Trevor Harris is back in Ottawa. It's seems to be a combination of Harris' inadequacies and Jamie Elozondo being interviewed for the Alouettes head coaching job. The belief is that Harris is their best option but Montreal might throw more money at Harris than Ottawa is willing to spend.

Many analysts believe that the Tiger-Cats are still in the hunt for Johnny Manziel. With or without Manziel Collaros is gone but what happens to Mazzoli if Johnny Football arrives on the scene.

In Toronto many seem to expect that Collaros will end up in Toronto either as the starter or Ray's backup for one season like the REDBLACKS did with Burris/Harris.

I suspect Durant is done in Montreal unless they can't attract anyone new to the team.

The teams in the West are much more settled. Nothing happens with the starters in Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg.

Apparently Franklin is going to try his luck in the NFL but if that doesn't work out he will probably sign elsewhere. His name has been connected to the Rough Riders since he played for Chris Jones in Edmonton.

Saskatchewan will probably stand pat (Franklin rumours aside) with Bridge beginning the season as the starter and Glenn backing up.

Finally, in BC, Jennings might try and fail for a NFL contract. Lulay apparently wants to give it one more try but there's no guarantee it will be in Vancouver.

Like most positions in the CFL the lack of long term contracts being signed leaves teams exposed to too much roster turnover each off-season. I didn't realize until the last few weeks contracts longer than one or two seasons are rare.

I could see Harris getting lured away to Montreal if that is the case. Montreal needs a legit QB bad but they also need a lot more than that.

Collaros back to TO might be a good fit and it would give them the successor they need for Ray.

I don't get why Hamilton would even consider Manziel. Too many headaches. I think they found their guy in Masoli who was a top 3 QB for the second half of the season. If Hamilton plays next year like they closed out this year they are favorites to get into the Grey Cup against Calgary.

Riders need to decide if Bridge is their guy or not. The feeling here has always been that Jones is biding his time waiting for Franklin to become available.

I don't see Jennings getting a serious look in the NFL. Although it's possible that anyone can go and try. However, he doesn't have the pedigree or the stats to merit anything more than a pre-season invite and early cut.

After the Grey Cup, What's next?

Green Rider fans should be very excited this morning with the addition of Zach Collaros, after re-upping Brandon Bridge before Christmas. The Riders only gave up a second round pick. I wonder if this is a reflection of their lack of confidence in getting Collaros to renegotiate his $525k deal that includes a $200k signings bonus. The Rodney Dangerfield of quarterbacks, Kevin Glenn, looks to be on the move again.

In Hamilton, this expected trade should clear the way for Manziel to sign with the Tabbies. I wonder if Masoli, who is a free agent, will stick around or will he look to sign in Montreal?

With Trevor Harris signing a one year deal in Ottawa and the Argos trading for Franklin's rights, the quarterback situation in the east is slowly taking shape.

With the free agent period about a month away, this REDBLACKS fan is getting nervous with the lack on signings in Ottawa. The REDBLACKS have a lot of key players to sign especially William Powell and almost the enitre offensive line.

I wonder if the CFL will ever see the day again where players sign longer term contracts ending the game of musical chairs which seems to happen every season. I'd like to buy a jersey but almost any number/name I put on the jersey will be history within a season.
