Verified Trader,
I received a second chance offer this morning on an ebay auction I got outbid on less than 12 hours earlier. I was not going to accept the offer simply due to the fact that it was a clear example of shill bidding. What concerned me is this:
My original bid was for $5.05 and there was a shipping charge of $5.
The second chance offer is making the lot available for $5.05. I just happened to look at the shipping charges and they are now $10. I had no idea that this could be changed on a second chance offer. When shill bidders aren't involved, I might be happy to accept a second chance offer, and wouldn't even pay attention to the shipping charges.
I just thought I'd share this so no one gets caught in this scam (yes, I consider this a scam)
