Hey. Not trying to start a pissing match here, okay?

I'm just curious if people 'out east' are aware of Boeser and the season he's having. Being out west (and in Vancouver) I get to see a lot of eastern games as well as western games, and know that's really not the case in the Eastern time zone.

Barzal is having a heckuva season. Love watching him. I know he's strong consideration for ROY.

However, when I talk to some friends out east (who are hockey fans), they have next to no clue about Boeser; they've already 'given' the Calder to Barzal, with Keller as their backup choice. Boeser isn't even in the conversation.

Just wondering if this is the prevailing attitude?

The Boozer ? Other then he has a laserbeam like maybe 5 guys in the league we dont know much about him.

Even the Habs dont know who he is considering the coverage he add last game.

Not the prevailing attitude at all. I was under the impression that Boeser had the award on lockdown until he got hurt.

I think those are uneducated hockey fans. You get homers who know nothing about any other team than their own. At our store they talk Boeser and McElvoy as Keller has cooled. No habs fan admits Sergachev could be a candidate as well. LOL!~!!

I duno who you talk to but everyone knows who Boeser is around here..
You know why? Cuz they know he is money in the bank with YG LOLOL..

He's a much needed breath of fresh air for Canuck Nation. Certainly the best rookie for the team since.....the unmentionable one.....;)

But I think the secret is out......

Yes Ameet, because EVERY SINGLE hockey fan is an avid card collector and bases their ENTIRE OPINION on players on Young Gun prices... :D

This is turning out to be a really deep crop of rookies this season. Boeser, Barzal, Sergachev, Keller, Hischier, Heinen, DeBrincat, Bratt, Butcher, McAvoy etc.

I’m as Far East as you can go. If people don’t know who they are they aren’t true hockey fans. They are all over the highlights and the Canucks are on CBC hockey night in Canada pretty much every Saturday. I haven’t seen many games of Barzal and Keller but again they are always on the highlights. Tell your buddies out East to start watching CBc, TSN and SportsNet.

The only rookie I ever hear anybody talking about around here is Boeser and Hischier. If you were to mention Keller or Barzal around here, you would mostly receive blank stares.

Barzal is talked about a lot more than Hischier or Patrick. Keller isn’t talked about much around here but Brock is a star.

People who don't know much or anything about Boeser aren't true hockey fans or don't get out of the bubble of their own team. Everybody who knows anything about NHL or follows the games and especially highlights know who all of these guy's are. If some didn't know Boeser before the All-Star game, they know who he is now - MVP baby! When you think about it, this year's rookie crop is very good. Sure no Mathews or McD, but these guy's are not chumps. Boeser, Barzal are studs. McAvoy, Keller are looking good. Hischier is top ten in scoring but is still pretty popular (only 19 years old too). Guy's like Yanni Gourde and Danton Heinen are also doing well but kind of flying under the radar.

Before his injury I would have said Boeser for the
Calder. But now I don't think it's even close as Barzal
has been a beast all year. But what do I know,I'm just
a down east bum Leafs fan.:D:beer:!!!
