Ok I have this old autographed card of Henri Richard.I am not familiar with his early autos.
Most every thing that you see is well after his retirement. So a person can expect to see
some differences. So PLMK your thoughts on this. Thanks a lot for any help or information that
you may like to share.

Other than the little circle in the "H", very little is consistent with his autograph from any era of his playing career.

I referenced PSA's Henri Richard site with several variations of his autograph over the years:

I also referenced a 1962-63 Parkhurst card which had a facsimile signature of his from around that era on it, as well as a 1970-71 OPC Deckle Edge card with facsimile signature which is close enough to that era.

If I'm not mistaken, your picture is from a 1961-62 York Peanut Butter disk so the autograph would have to be from that era or later.

If I were to give my honest opinion, there are too many inconsistencies in it based on references to older and newer autographs that I would not be able to authenticate it. I'd throw out the asterisk that because the York Peanut Butter disks are smaller than average cards, that he may done a very uncharacteristic signature to compensate for the lack of writing space on it, or an enthusiastic collector took it upon themselves to practice their cursive.

Thank you very much for this very valuable information. I would like for it to be real. But I would just as soon have it as a novelty so I can say that it may be and therefore may not totally destroy the value of my peanut butter cards..You are correct that these cards are slightly smaller than a regular card. And that maybe he was not in a place where he could do his best job on his autograph. I find autos to have so many variations from anyone. Let alone sports players. I know even for myself. If I am signing 200 documents in a day that the one I sign at 8am do not look anything at all like the one I sign at 4:30 when I am heading out the door for supper.:D :D. Thanks again.
