I don't know him but if he gets Quincy's endorsement, in my books, that's as good as gold. That being said, it seems that someone is using him to funnel their fake cards into the marketplace. If he has any interest in saving his own reputation, he needs to figure out who he's dealing with. Kenny wrecked Marcello's rep and someone is doing the same to kilga.

I think what we have going on here is a guy (Kilga) who buys intense amounts of cards.. he is currently selling everything and I have seen his list. He seems to have LOTS of money so he probably sees something he wants and buys it. With his collection, I highly doubt he fakes them, but he has probably purchased them without knowing.

Whoa whoa: Kilga himself is honest, and not a forger. There my endorsement ends.

However, I KNOW he's been duped a number of times into acquiring faked patches. I think that the above is another example of that.

I do NOT trust kilga one bit. Buyers beware. Although he has some nice legit cards, he has a history. He sells fake cards and he knows it and just does not care. He is trying to unload his collection.

The patch is definitely a fake, Hossa didn't play for the Thrashers until 2005 and that is a 5th Anniversary patch that the Thrashers wore in 2003-04.

The only patch he would have worn as a Thrasher is the All-Star patch which is the one you see pictured on the card.

That's exactly what I meant...if he's being duped time and time again, even as an honest person or seller, he'll need to figure out who's duping him into buying this stuff, otherwise (as is mentioned above) it will appear that he just doesn't care.

Also, the jersey material on the bottom left corner of the patch looks to porous to be from an NHL jersey

The piece of jersey material is legit in that it is from a Thrashers jersey - those light blues do have the dark blue material underneath it. Same concept of jersey as the old Nashville mustard jerseys (gold with navy layer underneath)

From that perspective it is the right material, but that's as much as I will say is ok. For the authenticity of the patch, I have no idea but to follow the guidance of others.

Nice catch great1. I have traded with Kilga and had no problems. Issues have come up with some 'price fixing' on ebay, but anyone is open to getting a bad patch. You may get it from the trader or 3-4 trades down the road. I look at mine pretty close when I get them. The forgers may be better than me.

There was a Brodeur 25th patch card on ebay a day ago and I asked the seller about it. He said it is not part of a game used patch, but a company manufactured one...
