Im hoping for some clarification. As they pertain to 16/17 Young Guns. Was there a clearcut and an acetate at release? Or just the acetate? Or is the only clearcut the one released this year with the different picture on it? And how rare is each one? Just a bit confused......:loseit:

The Clear Cut is the same as the regular card except for it being made of acetate and the back which has the card number on the player silhouette. It was released in the same box as the card itslef

The Acetate Young Gun is a a layered acetate card and since 16-17, have only been released in SP Authentic. In 13-14 through 15-16, they were usually released in the subsequent series. ie. Series 1 Acetate YGs were in Series 2, the Series 2 Acetate YGs were in SP Authentic, and the Update Acetate YGs (starting in 14-15) were in the following year's Series 1. The Acetate YGs also have a different photo from the regular YG

Thank you for this response. Any thoughts/guesses on numbers on each type? There seems to be far more Exclusives out there if you go by past sales. Some of the Clearcuts only have one or two sales historically. Acetates equally rare.

Acetates are far more rare than the Clear Cuts. But the Clear Cuts are very rare as well. I don't have any hard figures, as you said just looking at eBay sales there is not much there data wise. You can see also that the Acetates command a much higher price than Clear Cuts. I have a few of both. Some of my favourite cards UD makes period.
