I recently pulled in some cards from my #1 supplier these days, Chris (forsberg21), who has been helping me fill some holes in my pc. Thanks again bud! One of the things that keeps me more involved with the older cards in my pc is completing year groupings for different series. It also keeps me motivated to continue organizing my pc. So my latest shipment consisted of 14 cards, and those helped me finish off 5 sets.

First up is a group of 4 cards from 2000/01 MVP. It is made up of the base card, 1st star, 2nd star, and 3rd star.

Then we've got 4 cards from 2001/02 Bowman YoungStars. Base, Ice Cubed, Gold, & Toronto Expo.

Next we have 5 cards from 2001/02 Pacific Adrenaline. Base, retail, blue, premiere date, jersey, & red.

Next up comes 7 cards from 2001/02 Premier Collection. Jerseys black (50), Jerseys bronze (300), dual jerseys black (50), dual jerseys (100), Signatures black (50), Signatures, & base (399).

The set that excites me the most is this next group. It goes back to 2001/02, and consists of the 7 cards from the BAP Ultimate Memorabilia series. I got the Autographs & Autographs Gold cards from Chris.

Then we have Nameplates, Goal-Scoring Leaders, Dynamic Duos, & Gloves Are Off.

I'll finish the set off with the Complete Package card.

With Iginla cards sitting at just over 5200, and me sitting at 53% (close to 2800 cards) these sets allow me to feel a sense of accomplishment. It gives me more of a purpose when I'm searching for cards, and it has me opening boxes and looking at older cards. That definitely adds to the sense of enjoyment with my collecting. :D

Good grief, over 5k cards for one guy? I feel 'lucky' the Sedins only have some 3k between them :)

Must feel really nice to knock off those turn of the millenium sets, great stuff! Especially love those Premier autographs, such nice clean signatures, beauties!

Well done Al. Gotta love the licensed Complete Package too, beauty card!

Somehow I missed a set, the 6 cards from 2000/01 Topps Gold Label. I got the two Class 3 cards (at the back) from Chris. Such high quality cards, love the style. Class 1 (front), Class 2 (middle), Class 3 (back). The gold cards (in the same order) are out of 399, 299, and 199.

I'm glad I could help out Al and those groups look awesome together!

Pretty good ratio Chris, 14 cards and 6 sets created. Have to try for the same success rate in the next groupl ;)

Very nice cards :) My favourites are those uber tough MVP parallels. Those must be impossible to find for a lot of collectors!

Yeah, I've been on eBay since July, 1999 and used to check daily for Iginla cards. Don't recall ever seeing these.

Cool glove piece, Al!!!

Thanks Curt, I have a soft spot for the slabbed cards, probably because of all the Yzerman ones that I have.

It does feel great to go back that far and finish off some sets. Iggy's signature has remained remarkably consistent over the years. I call myself a "completionist" like some others on HI, because I go after everything and anything Iggy related. Couple of neat examples below. The bust is 9 inches tall, the figure is 3 inches tall. Realistically I'll be lucky to get over 70% of his cards.

Thanks Jeremy. Those multi window slabbed cards are always a thrill to bring in.

Great sets, Al! I never knew the 01/02 Bowman Toronto Expo cards even existed until this thread.

Thanks! Now I've given you something new to chase. ;)

some excellent assemblages right there!

Thanks, this is my direction for the pc right now, and they won't break the bank. ;)

Completing year sets gives a sense of accomplishment. I hear ya. Conngrats Al. Those licensed ITG/BAP are great.

Thanks, makes all the time and effort worthwhile when the final card/s in the set arrive.

Very nice looking sets! Really like all the older stuff! Congrats on completing them!

Thanks Jayden, might have a few older doubles for trading.
