Euro Hockey Jerseys or Nascar...cars?

I got the new Beckett Hockey Card Plus in the mail today. I just need to say something about those euro Jeresys. The darn players look like the Race cars in Nascar. Looks as if they are trying to pimp every square inch on the players.

I know its a good way to make money but come on.

What do you all think? Like them or no?

I like them. Just think of the extra money a team could make if they put one small but reasonably sized product logo on the jersey. Maybe there would be no lockout. Anyway I have a Forsberg MODO jersey & just received from the NHL Auctions site my Kasparaitis Russian AK BARS jersey. I will try to take a pic of each when I get home on Monday. -Jay

I think they are really cool, but more as a novelty. I wouldn't object to 1 or 2 sponsor patches on NHL jerseys, but otherwise it does begin to look really tacky. I have this Marek Svatos Slovakia national jersey, that I think is pretty cool with all the ads.

I think they alright. I mean they are kind of tacky but the teams also don't have as much money. If a team has logos of companies on it, who cares what it looks like!

I think they look cool, but that might just be because they are something different. In general, they are more colourful than most NHL jerseys. As an aside - I really like the fancier socks that European teams wear.

I have a Kovalev Moscow Dynamo jersey I honestly think the Russian jerseys are nicer than the NHL ones

i just ordered this one, its signed too the team got it auto'ed for me

once the lockout is done im thinking of ordering a Frolunda Indians jersey too and a Lingkoping jersey and a MoDo. haha,

I like most of the European jerseys. I have a Sokol Kiev jersey and I think it looks awesome, but their newer ones that I've seen are just the team name and a huge Coca-Cola logo. Some of the teams do go overboard on the ads.

I have allways hated our jerseys and loved all the nice clean nhl jerseys.

Then I'll dissent - I can't stand most of the Euro jerseys. I know I haven't seen every design out there, but aside from the ads making the jerseys look blocky and tacky, I'm just not thrilled by any of the basic designs either.

I think all the ads make'em look cheap.

I think alot of people like them because theyre different, if one of my players were palying in Europe id probaby cop a jersey as its always neat to have something original
but i still say id take an NHL jersey any day
