Got this in from ITG / SportKings / CCC for the site... have a look and let's get your thoughts on the product! It's hard to judge the entire product from one box remember.

Bruce and Dr Price cause I know you might see this,

I was beyond excited at the initial release of Ringside. I completed the base set in one KO case, got so many outstanding autos/relics and ended up with about 40 or so of the mecca turkey red inserts!

I waited anxiously for the announcement of Round 2! I figured this round would have Sugar Ray Leonard, Foreman, Duran, Hagler, Hearns, Arguello etc that were not in round 1.

But some of those names were not there. And with the configuration changes I figured multiple cases to attain the 100 card base set.

So I didnt order any! I am going to take a wait and see approach for the first time.

I have an extensive boxing collection being a former Silver Gloves Coach and so appreciate the efforts of ITG/FF/CC and Dr Price to bring back the memories. I just needed better names on the checklist (see above) to leap into the ring for round 2!

Please accept this as one persons constructive opinion, Im sure there were numerous logistic problems getting the checklist together as most of these guys represent themselves and arent bound by a contract like MLB or NHL.

I agree with the above statement, I busted ALOT of ringside round 1 but not a single pack of series 2.

There's some nice hits to be had from the product, and having included Muhammad Ali for a second time was nice even tho there was'nt any signatures from him.

what I found to be a little lame is the amount of cards without pictures on them, The nameplate 1/1's I'm ok with, but guys like Micky Ward and what not. They were included in the first release with pictures and then to use them again in round 2 without face shots just kinda screams cheap...

I'm still going to enjoy the product, but Round 1 by far beat Round 2 in the ring in my eyes....

very nice stuff

love the quad the best

i might have to pick up a few singles down the road of this product

There is a reason that no one has done a boxing set for years.

It is next to impossible to sign these guys, you think you have them and then find out that the person you signed the contract with doesn't really represent them.

Good luck to anyone ever trying to produce an all boxing card set, we tried to do our best but obviously you feel we failed.

At least we tried.

Brian, I don't think you failed. I just feel you made two mistakes.

First mistake was using all the big guns in the first release leaving some of the lesser collected boxers for the second series. Had you spread them out over both releases I feel the second would've faired much better.

Second mistake was not using pictures on select cards, Yes I understand the reason behind doing so "sometimes", However if you were able to sign the boxer for the first series why was it so hard to do again in the second series?

I like both releases, but the round one packed a much harder punch then round two.

Dr. P. the stuff is amazing... even thou some of the boxers are tough as nails to get... just the cards themselves and mem are pretty solid!
