Predators-Flames Preview and is available for view here: FS-TN, SNET-W (HD)

Calgary (29-14-4) has an 11-point lead atop the Northwest, thanks in large part to an 18-5-3 home record. The Flames, third in the NHL with 96 goals at home, have scored at least five goals six times during their 9-1-0 stretch at the Saddledome.

Cammalleri has been a big part of the Flames' recent home success, with 12 goals in his last seven games in Calgary. He recorded a hat trick in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over Buffalo, the Flames' 11th in 14 contests.

The Predators (21-23-3) stumbled into the All-Star break, but are hoping to build off an impressive 5-3 win at Vancouver on Wednesday in their first game in nine days.

Nashville totaled eight goals in its final five games before the break, but scored a season-high three power-play goals against the Canucks. The Predators are 2-7-1 on the road since Dec. 8.

"We've had meetings after the first half, and the rest of the season after the All-Star break is a new beginning for us, a new start," said goalie Pekka Rinne, who has taken the loss in all three games versus the Flames this season. "We need a fresh start, we need to forget the last month and a half and just stick together."

Come on Rinne!!!! I'd love to see him to continue to play well and wrestle the starting job away from Ellis...although judging by his record against CGY, it may be smart to give Ellis a kick at the can...

Man this is the best I ever remember the Flames. GO FLAMES GO!

If they bow out in the first round I will be ballistic.

They are definitely playing the best I have seen them play since 1989, and yes, that includes the 03/04 cup run. They really can do some serious damage this season. IMO the only thing standing in their way is Kipper. Not that he is not playing well, but will he be too tired come playoff time? I have always thought this is part of their problem the past few years; Kipper being too tired. The best thing to happen would be for them to build up a 'can't be caught' lead in the NW in the next 10 games (not quite there yet), so they could rest Kipper ever so often.

Thanks to their recent play, my standings pool is shaping up quite nicely - in the big money at this time!
