GDT Sharks at Wings 12/18

The top two teams (record wise) in the league do battle. The Sharks took the first game so far this year. One thing to note is that the Wings were on the road and were playing the second of back to back games. The tables have turned and the Sharks show up at the Joe after an overtime loss to Columbus last night. Going to be a great game and NHL.com's NHL 09 prediction thing predicts Sharks win 3-1. GO SHARKS!!!

Looked like a reverse carbon copy (sic) of the first encounter.
The Sharks had no jump and the Wings jumped all over them.

I would actually not be surprised if McClellen (sp) wasn't happy with the outcome. Things were going to well for the Sharks and this will serve him well to let them know that they are not quite as good as all the rave reviews.

On the other side of the coin - it was very nice to see the wings D play a solid game.

End result - the Sharks are still the best team in the league......
but in April and beyond the road to the Cup will still travel through Detroit if you want to grab the chalice.
