So my two boys took part in the Hurricanes First Goal program, and one is going on to play in his first house league next month. As part of the program, the Canes had former player Bates Battaglia and current assistant coach Jeff Daniels on the ice all 7-weeks with the kids. At the last practice the boys had a few cards for Bates to sign, they chatted a couple of minutes, and now we are looking for Battaglia cards. Only Carolina cards are needed, which takes us from 97-98 to 02-03, though not all sets from 02-03 are "pure" Canes (picture and logo), as he had been dealt to the Avs.
There are almost 120 cards, from the looks of it. We have 6, which means we need the majority of them. I have a Googledoc with them all in it, meaning I don't want to maintain a list here unnecessarily.
Burbank has many on eBay, but I don't want to pay almost $50 for 44 base cards. BV on those 44 are probably in the $10 range.
This is obviously in the Tradfe section, but I'll buy. But let's be honest, shipping on a 10-cent card isn't gonna be worth it, so I'm looking for people who have tons of 20-year old cards and have some of the Battaglia cards in bulk.
Some of these are the pesky Pacific parallels, others are the MVP script parallels, the BAP Emerald /10s, one is a 1998-99 SP Authentic Sign of the Times Gold out of /13 which I'll probably never track down, but that's the fun in it, right?
