I finished off at least 75% of a story with pictures and I accidentally closed the page.

Hey how are ya?

So like I was saying, earlier this year I completed the three-year Upper Deck Artifacts Honoured Members set. Yessiree, three years of paying through the nose for autographs or bits of cloth and wood on acetate. BUT I LOVES 'EM!! And I was finished.

But good ol' Upper Deck wasn't finished ohhhhhh nooooooo.

That's right, 25 new cards this year...... more Honoured Hopefuls and some "update" autographs.......... What choice do I have???? So here's card #1.........

My very first Sidney Crosby auto. So there's that.

And then there's the this........................

A while back I met a gal on the Twitter, a HUGE Hurricanes fan living out in the middle of the desert in California. She seemed nice, so I sent her a bubbler full of 'Canes cards. Then another one. And then another one after that. Seriously, what the heck else am I gonna do with Cam Ward et al???

So it turns out she works in her boyfriend's SPORTS MEMORABILIA/CARD STORE!!!! She took some pics for me and again, what choice did I have????

Now then, I don't know if there's just no demand for late 90's/early 2000's stuff an hour east of Los Angeles or if the dude was just being SUPER nice to me for sending his gf some free cards, but I think I got a pretty good deal here...................

#5

Five bucks

#4

Twelve bucks

#3

Fifteen bucks. This one is actually (sadly) market value, but I'm keeping my McDonald's cards and it's nice to add to the PC every now and again.

#2

Fifteen bucks. I'd never even seen a 00/01 SPGU patch card before now.

Annnnnnnnnnnnd #1. From 1997/98 Upper Deck, a card I didn't even know existed til last week and then saw it in the Beckett. Only 33 copies exist...............

Sixty bucks. So there's THAT.

OK all done cya!!!!

Wow hold theeee phone.....you got the Roy for $60!?! I had that the same Roy last summer sold it for easily $275-$375. That is a killer card.

Nice to see your kindness was returned in spades!

That Roy is something else and for $60! WOW

That Crosby is awesome! Good luck with the other 24. Nice pick up on the Roy, love seeing those 20year old memorabilia cards!

Here is the complete set of patches from 00/01. Some not so great patches but set completed.

Well of course you have all of the patches

I love that UD used different pics for most of the players for the different parallels. And that Orr is SO nice........

$60 for that Roy seems really cheap. No?

Yes, yes it does. But who am I to say? Am I Eddy Beckett?? No, sir! I am but a simple man, a dullard even, unschooled in the ways of the world. I asked "How much?" for each of the cards and those were the answers I got. :D
