just trying to cataloge my collection.
How do I tell the difference between the gold plated coin and the solid gold?
and the nickle and silver too?

Is the set from 96/97 or 97/98. In both years the solid gold was a 1/1 redemption. The solid silver came with a congratulatory card. I know the 97/98 says fine silver on the back of the coin. The nickle coins are the silver coins. If you have the brass coin from 96/97 and the gold plated coin, you can for the most part distinguish the two by looking at them

As Jeffrey Stated above, The difference in the Silver and Nickel is obvious as it comes with a certificate. (And if you have seen a Silver Bar, or a Silver Maple Leaf one ounce Coin, It is easy to tell Silver and Nickel Apart)

I have never seen one of the Solid Gold Ones, Now that would be cool to see...ANyone?

Never saw the Solid gold , but I did pull a Gold plated Dan Marino in 1996.(traded it for Rookies Of Roger Staubach, Denis Potvin and Mike Bossy
I currently have a Nickle John Elway, and they are dull in compairison to Silver.

Here are scans of the Solid Silver Congratulatory card. I have also included scans of the Nickle and Solid Silver coins of Gretzky.
