Howdy folks,
Been a while. Nothing much in the collecting-area, but i've received a little bit of mail. Some additional oldies from my friend Andreas (Reborn) that I was too lazy to scan, but one of those were my tenth copy and i'm sure you've seen those cards before.
Otherwise, saw another two Springsteen gigs, this time in the land of Guinness.
Had a fabulous trip even if the first show was the worst i've seen this year, but the other one was stellar. The best one I witnessed in Europe this time around..but geez how I regret choosing Ireland over Italy or Spain, those setlist were friggin' insane. At least I've learnt my lesson and the beer was good.
Here's a picture for your viewing pleasure. From the front row, of course.
Anyways, a while ago I sent a PM to Al (Uhtred the Viking) with a card I thought he needed and indeed he did. At the time he didn't have anything for me and I was in the middle of cleaning out pretty much everything non-commie I had in my possession, so I figured he'd appreciate it much more than I, even if I am Iggy fan. So I decided, heck i'll send it his way anyways and told him; that if he'd ever get his hands on a Kharlamov then I'd gladly take it.
Lo and behold, I got a PM from him last week and on monday this puppy arrived.
2006-07 ITG Ultimate Memorabilia Going For Gold 24 Valeri Kharlamov 23/25
It's an extra, but definitely an upgrade. One of the best Kharlamov jersey swatches I've ever seen. Can't thank you enough my friend. Gotta find some new Iggy's to send your way.
And lastly, about two months ago I received this puppy,
Today I finally took the time and decoded it,
Pretty cool stuff.
One name that I wasn't sure on the money though. The one below Kuzkin. I think it might be early Lutchenko, but on the back of the paper it says that Luchenko, Nikitin and Shadrin missing...But oh well.
Depending on how things work out, I might have the finest mailpost of my life next week.
Thanks for stopping by,
Victor
