Hot Prospects auto/patch question

Hey guys. I am contemplating getting a case of this. The price has dropped quite a bit. I just got a question. Seeing as this was the only other set to use auto/patches as rookies do you see the price going up on it? I know The Cup is selling great but when it really runs out will collectors turn to this. My example is this:

Ovechkin Cup rc /99 $5,000
Ovechkin Hot Prospect rc /199 $400

The print run may be double but at only 199 copies can you see the trend of the past years UD Premiers auto/patch rc and how they have gone up in price. I am asking because if I get a case would I be smarter to hang on to the cards for a while and hope that they go up or just try to sell them on ebay.

I personally do not buy cards for the sole purpose of selling them later and I'm about collecting and purchasing cards just to trade. That being said the Hot Prospects Auto Patches over the past couple of Becketts have been increasing in BV, so take that for what it's worth. You can also get premiums for unique swatches and I have seen a few of those as well.

Just like with busting any wax though, there are risks involved, but Hot Prospects is a solid break and you are bound to have fun and get a couple of decent cards. From the breaks I have seen the auto patches come every other box, so you will get a few hits. Hope this helps.
