I can't believe I missed these auctions

What does this tell you about the way the market is going? Back in the day these cards would have got triple this. Two of the greatest to ever play on one card and they go for under $40 That's just nuts in my opinion. Feedback on the sellers were good, nothing out of the ordinary both excepted Paypal...what's the problem here? I can't believe I missed them BOTH I may be crazy but I've collected Mario for sometime now and have noticed a huge decline in his stuff but I think this is way too low. I remember paying that much for Marios alone. What is this hobby coming to? Maybe it's just hockey, I highly doubt you would find a Jordan/Lebron go for anything that low.

The darling of the late 90's & early 2000's have indeed lost there lustre in recent years.

Think of it this way, bad for the seller's, good for the buyer's...

I know Jersey cards have fallen out of favor in the hobby and a #/299 card is not considered rare anymore, but those two should break those rules. That "should" be a $75-$100 card anyway, but I guess not any more. Kinda makes you wonder what Patch Cards and maybe Autos will be worth down the road.... Mike
