Is BGS still the go to for thick cards?

They do but I prefer PSA. I wont ever use BGS again

Hear, hear.

What's been happening with BGS?

Seems like they hired someone clueless (when it comes to the hobby) to run BGS.

The last laugh I had at their expense was them trying to change their labels. BGS 10 has always been Pristine or a Black 10 Pristine with four 10 subgrades. They then decided to change the label to show anything with four 9.5 subgrades to be "Pristine". The simple move would have been to call it "True Gem". The outrage was loud enough where they abandoned the idea altogether.

PSA and other companies have made improvement after improvement since the pandemic. BGS has sputtered along with enormous turnaround times. They won't get any more of my money until they smarten up.
