This one was a few years in the making... 2009/10 ITG Superlative Volume Two Nicknames - Richard Brodeur 9 of the 9, and the gold 1 of 1! Even have a few show card version of this too, which is cool :)

Nope, I'm of the opinion that, that came out really well. ;) lol

Hearty congrats Bruce on completing this endeavour and all the best.

What's a "quincy"?

A "quincy" is a run of cards to complete a set named after the quincy master himself, HI member, Quincy, who for years has made it a habit of ruining master builders dreams of owning not one, but all of a set run of a short print of certain players. These usually consist of 2-5 serial numbered cards of the same player. The longer the serial, the harder the quincy. This is usually a built set since pulling a set of serial numbered cards of the same player is nearly impossible.

(Please take note that a set of cards that is of a certain player that is of different levels of serial is known as a rainbow. The quincy ruins the chance of ever owning the rainbow.)

CONGRATS MEAT!!!
This is one of the longest quincy's I have seen in a long time!

Wow, what an accomplishment Bruce, nicely done! Were you close for some time until the last one just surfaced?

Let's see the show-stamped cards too!

I approve of this hoard.

Partly because of the level of OCD it represents, partly because it takes those nasty Richard Brodeur cards outa circulation.;)

Honestly I had no idea how close I was. I just snagged versions when they came up, then when the other King Richard collector said she'd make this available, I bought it. When it came in, I pulled up my spreadsheet to update it and saw "x8" beside the card... went and grabbed them all and realized I had done it!

I have a couple other King Richard cards that I'm close on. Will see if I can nail these ones down next ;)

Have another show card en route and will scan those when that one is in ;)
