It appears as though Jagr is not long for Calgary. Elliotte Friedman wrote today that he might not be long for the NHL, but that a team in Germany has expressed interest.

This hurts. I didn't expect him to play beyond this season, nor did I expect him to hit 2,000 points, but I did at least want to see him break Howe's all time games played.

Agreed. He did bring some fun & enthusiasm into the mix, I was/am really hoping to see him finish out the year with the Flames.

Injuries have hampered him all season. His speed is gone and now it appears his hands have also gone. It’s a Young mans league. Shame to see him go but too be honest he is playing bad and taking a way a roster spot that a younger faster player could have. I will miss him.

I would like to see roster spots open up for the Flames this season, but yeah, it hurts to see Jagr go out like this. Maybe some team will grab him and maybe he can get the Games Played record, but that is unlikely I would think.

If he still wants to play, I'm sure a team in Europe will take him no problem. All the best for Jagr moving forward !

If the Dec.31st game against the 'hawks was his last NHL game... I'll be able to say I saw it. That being said, I hope he does take the time... heal up, then train and get ready for the final few weeks of the season.

I totally agree. I really want to see him play again for Flames.
