Jaromir Jagr S&T: Calgary Flames Style

Growing up, my favourite player that didn't wear a Flames jersey was always Jaromir Jagr. Such an exciting player to watch, and I'll admit I tried imitating his salute goal celebrations playing hockey as a kid. Fast forward 20 years, and he actually signed with the Flames! I was thrilled to get to watch him play hockey in Calgary. Too bad it didn't go as hoped, and was very short lived, but nonetheless it still allowed us to watch him play his final NHL games here in Canada. And then we get to the cardboard... now I get to chase his cards that will fit so nicely into my Flames pc, couldn't get any better! So I decided to start a new project, attempting to chase every single Jagr card produced of him wearing a Flames uniform. I believe there are a total of 35 cards not including printing plates. Right now I own 33/35 along with 2 bonus printing plates. The two cards I'm missing are OPC Platinum Golden Treasures 1/1 and SP Authentic Black SSP. Yeah I know, good luck affording that 1/1 haha. So I'm hoping to at least find the SPA Black, that would make me happy... I think? Us collectors are never content anyways, right?

So here we go, time to show these Jagr cards off, hope you enjoy!

Just added two more recently, 17–18 The Cup Base (oddly his only card in the set, no base parallels), and 18-19 UD Jagr Years insert

Great group of cards Jayden, I'm guessing you're VERY committed to tracking down cards. As you said, not a long stay with the Flames for Jagr, but a solid representation in the card world. Best of luck pulling in the last 2 cards!
 
As a Jagr collector, I see several I would love to have in my collection!

I lost out on the Priority Signings--I wonder if it was the same one you have now...
 
Awesome! Good luck with the last two! Does anyone know if UD did Retro Blank Backs of the OPC Update stuff?
 
Nice work - those look great!

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but it looks like there are SSP Black versions of the SPA base cards out there as well. Haven’t seen a Jagr yet though.

Thanks Seth! It's the gold rainbow foil. You an only get it on epack by combining 100 base cards of one player.

Thanks! I have never seen a blank back come from the update set (all players) that year. I am pretty sure they don't exist, but I've been wrong before...

Thanks Neal! Oh really? I had no idea, I know I've seen the autographed black versions. But I didn't know they made them for the players that didn't have auto parallels. Can you confirm that? Thanks for the info by the way

Nope problem. Cardboard Connections lists them, and there a 1/2 dozen listed on feebay right now:

Thanks for the info, and I see that now. Not sure how I missed it, I guess it was an unannounced parallel and I just never saw any of the base anywhere. I just updated my thread lol. Guess the hunt begins for a third card!
 
Thanks for the info. I just saw that a week ago as well. Crazy that they didn't add any other parallels of him. I wonder if that's happened before with other players in Cup products?
