My email back from UD concerning 05-06 redemptions

As many may know, the 05-06 Cup Redemptioon window was extended to around Christmas. I know this because I asked the UD team at the Fall Expo. I asked them about other prroducts, but they were unsure, and advised not purchasing 05-06 product other than The Cup if I was concerned about redemptions.
With the next Expo coming up, I wanted this clarified. I am sharing the answer with you:

Great job so far this year!

I emailed a couple of weeks ago and got no response, so I thought I’d try again.

My question concerns the extended expiry date for 05-06 the Cup Redemptions. Is there a definitive date at this point?

Also, have any of the other dates been pushed back, i.e,
Ulimate?
SPX?
Ultra?

Would like to buy some wax at the Spring Expo in Toronto, but I need to know which sets specifically are still honouring redemptions first.

As well, is there any place on your site where I can follow this information in the future?

Hello Shaun, Thanks, we cannot tell you how much we appreciate hearing that. As far as query unfortunately all of the Brands you have inquired about have expired redemptions. I believe everything from 05/06 is expired. As far as the redemption program goes I am not entirely sure as of yet due to the fact the show is in May and it is just the beginning of March. We should know more close to the event. Have a great day

To begin, my first attempt to contact them was overlooked, but this response came only two hours after I sent it!!! Nice to see the quick response on the second one.

What is strange, is a, Barry word sit as "I believe", which is not very definitive.

b, I never asked about the Spring redemption program, and c,
my questtion about information on the site goes unanswered!

I find their Customer Service to be much better by phone.
 
I think that was a very reasonable answer to your questions, considering the huge amounts of emails and inquiries he gets each day.

My job requires constant email communication between both suppliers and customers. Responding to only part of an email has become the norm these days. I often will send a supplier 3 or 4 specific questions to do with their product, and they will often answer the first question and ignore the rest.

Shaun, your statement:

is open for interpretation based on context. It could easily be interpreted the way the you wanted it to, but because you specifically tied Spring Expo, and redemptions in general together, it could be interpreted as "Which products will you be honoring for this year’s Spring Expo redemption program?

I don't think Barry's response in that matter was incorrect.

I find the redemption program accepts what it wants to, really. I popped in a long expired 05-06 redemption I found sitting on my desk a month ago into the system to see if it would work, and it did. Meanwhile, someone else didn't have the same luck as me.
