I am thrilled to debut my new avatar, created by Jayden (hen44jay), my good friend and fellow Iginla collector. I wanted something personal that had my input, and Jayden knocked it out of the park. As many of you know, my username comes from Bernard Cornwell's series of books, "The Last Kingdom" (originally the Saxon series). Uhtred is my favourite character, and now I also have 4 seasons of the Netflix series to watch as well.

Jayden and I talked a lot about this project, and he incorporated all of my ideas (eg. veteran war leader, leading a raid, stronghold on the cliff, stormy sky, ship & crew in the background). I threw a lot at him, and told him to feel free to delete/change things as he saw fit, as I'm no artist and wouldn't know how much would be appropriate.

Jayden is a fantastic artist, and I will be framing this (8x10) to put up on my wall. Thanks doesn't seem to be enough to say, but I think I'm still speechless at the end result.

Thanks so much buddy, this will be a cherished piece of art!

The version I'm sharing in this thread has UtV watermarks placed throughout it to protect the integrity of the artwork. Those marks do not appear on the finished artwork.

That is amazing!

I am, however, surprised he didn't find some way to make the Viking look like Iggy

Haha! I should’ve subtly added a bunch of Iginla themes. Add a little number 12 on his arms, use an Easton stick instead of a spear…

Thanks for the comments everyone!

But CJ, in my fertile imagination “I” am Uhtred!

Thanks for the kind words Al! I enjoyed this project, and I’m thrilled you love it!

Really appreciate how you made all of my suggestions work for this project! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, it is a stunning piece of work. I love the “character” that shows in his face, and the added touches like the braids and details in his clothing.

 :hungry: Food for thought.
