Wow, what a fun weekend. My brother and I have waited years to attend an Expo in Toronto and luckily this year we got the chance to do so. Thanks to my brother-from-another-mother Aaron (ajramsaywpg) for showing us the ropes and letting us be set up alongside ya for this weekend.
On the whole, I did not pick up a ton of cards. Well, one biggie, but we'll get there later in the post. I am getting pretty focused on my hunt for Jacob Trouba cards - but Matty, my little brother (known simply as the "Duchene Kid" by most) was able to snap up quite a few PC finds.
Additions to the PC aside - this was a weekend I was waiting to experience for reasons other than cardboard. I've been a member on HI for a little while now and being able to meet some of the members on this fine site was an experience that I'll never forget it. It's funny. I told Ameet (99goals) this show that if I didn't ever meet him by chance at a LCS in town - I can't even imagine all the frendships and memories that I would have missed out on by not experiencing HI. Sappy stuff aside - I'd be failing my buddies that I finally got to meet up with this weekend without chucking them a shoutout. If I missed you, send me a PM letting me know that I owe you beer next time I am in TDot.

If I forgot you - please take me up on the above bet, but being absolutely deprived of sleep from my flight back to Winnipeg is my main excuse for this. Ha. So many dealers or attendees I wish I could chuck a s/o to but don't belong to HI, so I did my best to change that and promote this community to them. Either way, thank you SO much to the above guys for making my experience something I will never forget.

Onto the reason for cheesy title - and my aforementioned pick-up. I just got off the plane in Toronto early Friday morning with my brother and we headed instantly to the hall to get set-up and going for the weekend. About 20 minutes into the show, a guy from Calgary stopped by the booth after saying he was told to "come see the big Trouba collector from Winnipeg." He pulled out this card and I was in awe. For some of you guys who know me, I am a pretty darn picky person when it comes to cards, and I was waiting for the right patch to appear before I snapped up one of this. Needless to say, it was the right patch for me, and after some friendly banter about hockey and some negotiation, this card is now in my collection.

Honestly, I am still fired up about getting this card. It's one of those patches where you just need to see it in person to really see how sharp it looks. It was the icing on the cake for the weekend, undeniably for me.
I'd like to thank everybody one last time for just making this such a fun weekend to experience. I hope everything lines up in life to make this possible again for me to come out to TDot to it all over again.
