What international rules do you like. I like the reviewing of goals/near goals. This should be implemented almost immediately into the NHL. I also like the crease rule but granted last time there was a crease rule it was havok and they use bigger ice, but it will stop the constant running of the goalies. Get rid of the the trapezoid, it was nice to see the goalies have more freedom. I also think the icing should be changed. I just realized how much more efficient no touch is.

Hate the crease rule, if a toe is in there it doesn't count, no thanks. I do like the lack of a trapezoid. I am also a fan of the complete no touch icing.

I can't stand the 2 minute penalty for giving the goalie a little tap when the whistle hasn't yet blown. Yes, if you give him 3 or 4 whacks, I can see it, but one little tap. Lame.

I also have to wonder about the helmet rule. I can see the reasoning behind it, but to have to skate directly to the bench regardless of what's going on in the play is a bit drastic.

Usually - on the first instance of the goalie getting whacked, a warning's given. So there probably was something given ahead of time before the call was made.

With the helmet rule, there's an absolute - and with the IIHF there are absolutes to ensure that there's no room for leeway - it applies to everyone. No different than the crease violations - if you're in there and getting in the way of the goalie, however light it may be - they blow it dead. It stops controversy before it even starts on goals because of it.

I like the 2 + 10 rule for hits from behind or hits to the head - the only problem is that referees are loathe to call it because of the misconduct consequence
