Opened by CBSA ?

So i got a card today with a yellow label, opened by CBSA Canada Border.. i guess they go through all mails now or ? First time i had this card value was like 10$ from ebay not delcared on the envelope silly they thought something illegal or forbidden was inside..

...that's interesting. I didn't think that their mandate applied to outgoing. I would ask the sender to inquire.

I wonder if it is similar to how CBSA is able to search outgoing passengers at airports if they suspect they are carrying large amounts of currency, or are involved in some other illegal activity ?

I doubt they would be x-raying outgoing mail, maybe a drug dog reacted to the package?

well i got the card i was just curious why this one? small pack shouldnt raise alert, and they x-ray most stuff i asume so why the need for open i dont know..

Just a random search of an undeclared package, that's it.
In ALL my years, it has happened once when ebay / paypal did not exist and the European buyer sent me ca$h, $100.00US. Money order would have been too costly for the buyer.
Envelope resealed and the ALL the ca$h was accountable!
