OT - Compter/McAfee Help??????

Not sure if this is where I need to post this??

Any computer people here that would be able to help someone that doesnt have a clue what to do??

When I turn my computer on I have a thing come up that says
"Some components of Activesheild are either missing or might not have been installed properly. Please reinstall Activesheild. If you have started your computer in safe mode, please restart your computer in normal mode to enable McAfee VirusScan" Now the McAfee logo down in the bottom of the screen is black when it use to be red??

this just started last night and I havent done anything differnt than any other time. What does it mean "safe mode" and "normal mode" and how do I start my computer up in either one??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A file sounds to be corrupted and isnt being allowed to load. Try uninstalling McAfee and reinstalling it. Restart your computer following.

Thanks for the info Tom, I guess my next question would be, How do I do that?? I am very computer un-intelligent!

Go to start and programs. Then find the program in the list. When you highlight it, there should be an option to UNINSTALL MCAFEE. Uninstall everything and then restart the comp.
After restarting, reinstall the program. Restart again.
