So i sold this gretzky card late december and got a note on ebay that seller is mad its not arrived :(, was shipped dec 20 to Canada: latest tracking shows no signs after , it should have arrived or atleast updated somewhere in Canada by now,

if u see this card with a RED stamped logo in the lower left corner from ultimate vault please let me know, its a unique 1/1 stamped card from that release. thanks.

60 days is the usual time frame for a package to be considered truly lost in international shipping from experience. Its sick that a delay if this is the case i must take responsibility... delays is out of sellers control damit :(

a month earlier i shipped another card to canada with no issues a few weeks and arrived so who knows what happend to this one... I hate this... last time i sell on ebay and to canada flawless all years nothing lost/stolen now this happens as a seller.... 350$ down the drain..

Yes i tryied online no hits anywhere on Canada mail website or any other online tracking, really sad about this one :( Ebay estimated jan 8th release.. so something obvious happend along the route :(

20 Dec 2019

Dispatched from sorting center

Sweden

You sent it from Sweden on Dec 20 (15 business days ago) at the height of the Christmas rush and the buyer is already filing a non received claim? Pls pm me the name of this buyer when you have a moment so I can block them. People need to be more patient with shipping over the holidays. Ive had non holiday shipments from Sweden and Finland take upwards of a month to arrive.

This is absolutely correct!! I had identical experiences... received the card about 1 month after the seller shipped (also from Sweden!) I would say Canada Customs is backlogged ... it’s probably sitting there... since it hasn’t been checked yet/ scanned that’s why it isn’t showing up!!
Cheers! Paul!!

What is SAID and I had a country wide Express Post package take 10 days after it sat in a mail depot for ONE week!
Do not give up hope!

Gotta say, I've had items take longer than 15 days just to cross a border, let alone an ocean. It's a little too soon to call it lost yet.

its sick yes, already have minus on paypal when not even 30 days passed.. u get marked before u even had a chance to defend yourself.. ebay and paypal make me sick all years i payed to them and they treat me like a crook suddenly because one package is stuck or stolen and buyer ofc has all sides pointing to him....

i thought there was some sort of window, 30 days has to pass before u can actually claim a non recived report? guess not...

in Sweden we have many red days, dec 24-26 nothing happens, then we have also many days where banks, postal office etc is complete closed down many days etc, then during new years days between many days nothing happen - no mail comes etc etc.. so first after jan 5 here or so things start to move.. i can asume same is with canada and most countries during holidays and new years..

Now i must take action before Jan 16 or paypal will do it..

In the case the card would arrive i will ofc post an update here but for now consider the card lost in transit until proof shows its arrived to buyer.

peace out.

That’s is brutal. You have done everything right. You have a tracking number. Any rational buyer would understand that international shipping will take longer and during the holiday season even more so. I am shocked that eBay/PayPal doesn’t accept your tracking number as proof it was sent and in transit.

I had a package shipped from Fort Erie on the 16th which is only hours away by driving and it just arrived middle of last week.

People need to chill.

So what happens if you refund and then tracking shows as delivered? Does eBay/PayPal then get you your money back or does it become another battle?

Do not worry, half of my mails to Canada go very slowly last year or two and similarly almost no updates on tracking history occur. At the same time mails to US are usually rapid. Your mail should appear in nearest weeks, there are big chances that the card reaches its destination.

No reason to file a complaint this soon. International mail is horrendous, especially at this time of the year. I've had at least three packages I've sent (TWO to Canada and one to Sweden) take well over a month. It'll show up. Also, international tracking is an absolute joke...pretty much only works to the border of your own country in all of my experiences. That defeats the whole purpose of it in the first place.

Its similar here in Canada. Im sure this particular buyer.....ban344 (an ironic name, who Ive now banned)……. knows that and is likely trying to take advantage of the Christmas shipping lag. And you can unfortunately bet that when the card shows up at his place (and it will) he will be as quiet as a mouse and not say a word or give you your $$ either. :badmood:

As long as you provide the tracking number to eBay, that should bide you some more time for it to be delivered. Keep checking the Canada Post website. I have had items not show up on there until after they were delivered.

Tracking number provided will both bide you time and get your money back. EBay and Paypal allow one claim a year for such occasions (last time I tried this was a few years ago selling the last hard-signed Howe released. The package was opened and resealed. This is what paypal/ebay told me, I got a complete refund)

Also... 2 idiots on eBay opened a claim against me over the holidays and BOTH packaged arrived the next day.
