hi everyone,
well, its probably been a few...years...since i've done a mail call so i thought i would just show the direction my collection has turned. im a lot happier now with my collection and what i've been chasing and the timing of the kings winning cups couldn't have come at a better time :devil: . i was getting pretty bored with the hobby after mostly doing player collections of guys that just ended up fizzling out, but i don't think i can ever get tired of stanley cup themed cards :beer:
so this is mostly what i have been chasing along with just cards that i like the look of and some patches / autos of guys from both cup teams. easy when 90% of the 2012 team was also on the 2014 team :banned:
haven't really been in a massive hurry to finish any of these sets and i have mostly just been picking them up when i can get them for cheap if they aren't too incredibly rare. the amount of disposable income i have fluctuates a lot too so i just hope things pop up at good times haha. there are some sets that i just grabbed one from to have one, but i don't care too much about getting many just because i don't think they're worth the price it would take...day with the cup, net cords..etc
if you can fill any of the holes in here or upgrade any swatches, plmk! :beer: i am also going to include what i am missing for some sets.

start off with what i think is upper decks largest fail out of all of these sets. this set had so much potential , but i give the execution 2 massive thumbs down. if the set is based on the teams home games...why are they pictured in away jerseys? why do they all have the same picture if it is a ROAD TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP? could have been an epic set to complete with the kings having played 12 of a possible 13 home games in the playoffs, but having the same picture for each card completely killed it for me. i am only going to get one of each player from any game, but not in a big hurry as you can see and i have 2/10 so far. at least the quick is from the cup winning game :beer:
the only card i have incoming so i just took the scan. would love to get the auto /15
some random base cards / low end inserts with the photo featuring the cup. i also need to get the series 2 brown canvas card.
