As you guys may or may not know TRU has been blowing out some of their packs and I took advantage of this over the last couple of weeks. I bought around 30 packs of 07-08 OPC and was able to pull a Toews RC, which was pretty uneventful to say the least, but my trip today was much better.
I got 18 packs of 05-06 UD Series Two hoping to get an AO YG, 6 packs of 05-06 Ice since they were all one dollar a pack. Ice not surprisingly landed me nothing but base, but t he 18 packs of UD landed me a Crosby Victory, Lemieux Destined to the Hall, Brodeur Destined to the Hall and a Phaneuf Stars in the Making insert! Pretty happy to say the least. Also landed a bunch of Victory RCS most notably Vanek, Parise and Phaneuf and YGs of Coleman and Kronwall. 13 RCs in total, 6 inserts and an Ohlund game used card. All for less than $30!
This is how I get my wax fix. As you probably know I used to bust a LOT of wax. Every month my wallet would explode with craziness and to tell you honestly I get as much joy from spending $30 as I did $3000 if not more since I pay so little to get good value for my cards whereas when I spend a lot it's almost impossible to get equal value looking for the big hit. So, I guess in my case less is more! Sorry for the long read, but this was my first show and tell post in a year lol.. Scans will come after work....all f/t!!! Oh, they also have 08-09 OPC Blaster boxes. 13 packs for $13, so I'll most likely be getting those in the next couple of weeks. You gotta love low low prices!
