Sharks vs. Wings

I hope (sorry Wings fans) this goes 7. It would be fitting as this was the best matchup of the 2nd round in my eyes.:)

WOOHOO!! Congrat's to the boys in the winged wheel and hopefully the haters will crawl back under the rocks they came from..:D J/k guys I know most of you hate the Wings but this team plays with a lot of grit and they deserved to win this one against a great Sharks team...:)
 
Sharks can be proud of their team they are on the verge of getting to the next step and any time you got Nabokov between the pipes you got a good chance of winning. I give major props to this team they are scary to play!!!
 
I definitely picked them to go this far, and further, just ask Meatman!! Anyways, I'll be there to cheer them on as much as I can!! I have tix to all the games so hopefully I can make it to them all and give the boys my support.

Congrats to the Boys of Motown! Anaheim will be a tough series as well, but I doubt it will be even close to as physical as San Jose.

My prediction? Wings in 6.

Congrats to the Sharks, they played amazing until Lang tied the game up in Game 4... that totally ****ed the life out of the Sharks. Momentum is HUGE in the playoffs and that was by far the turning point of the series.

Congrats to the Wings! This series was over in Game 4 when they gave up the goal with 33 seconds left. That was the momentum shift and you just had that feeling the Sharks were beat mentally/spiritually. Great series as it had some real hockey and not THUG hockey(Nashville & Calgary). Not many dirty hits, just good skilled hockey! I will be rooting for the Wings and Chelios against the Ducks! Man, what a waste Guerin was as a pickup!

Yup. That 33 seconds left on the clock will be embedded in my brain for quite awhile. We could have been up 3-1 in the series.

My prediction... Pain (for Wings fans)

As for the series, Ducks in 5. Wings top line will get shut down by Pahlsson's line and the PPG line will take over in this series.
 
The Sharks had a great team this year, better than any other I have seen. They did waste their time with Guerin, but the thing that bothers me most is my boy Marleau. Maybe I am thinking every NHL capt. has to be like Messier in the leadership role....Marleau needs to take his game as well as the team to a different level to get past a team like Detroit.

Congrats to the Wings fans, they earned that series in my eyes. However, those boys from Anaheim are tough. I saw the Sharks play them 2 times this year in person, they dominated the game. Will be a good series.

As much as it pains me to say anything bad about Marleau, he was practically invisible this playoff series(esp. vs. Detroit). Marleau is a great guy and a class guy in the community but I don't know if he should wear the "C" for the Sharks. I doubt they would take the "C" from him next year but I really think Grier would be a great "C" or at the very least a "A". Grier is not a huge scoring star BUT he is always playing hard and leads by example. He was the best player for the Sharks in the Wings series. I think Marleau would be better as a "A" than a "C".. I am pulling for the Wings as I HATE those darn DUCKS!
