I'm interested in the side loading binder pages - mainly to prevent dust from settling onto the cards that are in the top row of the binder pages.

Does anyone here use them? How securely do the cards stay in their slots? How does the quality of the pages compare to the standard top loading Platinum pages?

Appreciate any feedback!

Thanks,
Myles

I use them and I love them. I actually penny sleeve my cards (need to trim the top of the penny sleeve a little) and then put them into the pages. They fit nicely into the pages.

It's also more secure if you were using the binders for trading as it is more obvious to take the cards out than from the top load pages.

And you also don't have to worry about the cards coming loose and falling out if your binder happened to be turned upside down.

May cost more but I prefer the topload pages and use zip up binders to prevent dust.
Just don't like flipping the pages and having the cards slide out

I've never had an issue with cards sliding out the side with or without the penny sleeves. But then again, I don't flip my pages with much force.

For the OP, the pages are structured so that the 2 left columns have openings on their right side, the right column have openings on its left side.

Do you always need to trip the top of the sleeves? Do you think it would make a difference if a different brand of page or sleeve was used? Are you using Ultra Pro pages and sleeves?

How do you find the quality of the material and the quality of the welds compares to the Ultra Platinum top loading pages?

Yes I always trim the top of the sleeves. I’ve tried the perfect fit ones too but those needed trimming as well because I think they only perfect fit the width. I’m using all ultra pro products.

I haven’t had any issues with the welds. They are different as they appear collated. I also have not put any thicker cards or multiple cards in the pages. Only 35 pt cards. So take that for what it’s worth as I haven’t stressed the pages.
