Some questions about getting autographs at the Toronto Expo Pavilion

I've actually never done this before, but I see an ex-Whalers player is signing, so going to give it a go. I have a few simple questions:

- is there any advantage to pre-buying tickets? Although I'm sure I'll be there, what if I don't make it? I doubt there are refunds but has anyone thought about this?
- I suspect my target athlete won't be one of the busier dudes, so again is it better to buy tickets the day I'm there?
- I plan on bring a couple of customs, does anyone (especially my customers) have experience with this?
- Will I be forced to apply the AJ sticker or is it optional?
- Will they use a pen that I bring?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Hey Glenn,

From my experience, if the athlete cancels you will be refunded.

You will have to check the website for the size of your custom items you want signed because that would determine whether or not you will need a regular or premium ticket. All athletes have the right to refuse to sign an item.

I don't recall having to put any autograph sticker on my item unless I want to. You usually get to keep your autograph ticket stub...

You can bring your own pen if you want to specify that the signer use it.

Glenn its been a while since I've been on the forums and I realize that expo starts tomorrow, but some answers to some of your questions:

• I bought tickets for Warren Moon (you know this, eh?) and I bought them the day of, and it was no problem. Warren moon definitely isn't a nobody but his lineup was just a bit smaller than Felix Potvin right beside him.
• Bring your customs and the player will sign them. I know there is a price per item, and then you need to pay a bit more for personalization/inscription. I guess it really depends how busy the player is. There weren't a ton of people at Warren's signing, so I had some time to chat with him and he inscribed the autos.
• They'll have lots of pens/markers/etc of different colours, but definitely feel free to bring your own.
