Had the pleasure tonight of meeting "will-411" (Cory) who was gracious and humble about being the middleman to acquire these three boxes from a dealer at Expo who didn't offer shipping to Manitoba.

Going to Expo isn't really in the cards for me at this time (see what I did there!?) Cory was here in Winnipeg on work travel and brought the three boxes with him.

Spent 10-15 minutes chatting with him in his hotel lobby before I took a hint that he had been awake since 430am EST and needed some rest.

Thank you, good sir. Hope we cross paths again. I will update you on my travel plans to Ontario later this year and hopefully I can see that Leaside show we talked about.

I will open at least one of these tonight, given I have the house to myself. :)


 
Did the First Edition Box. Got a jersey I needed, but a lower end one. :P And 5 singles for my base set. Not sure why I torture myself with boxes of this. LOL.

Thanks too on the intel on the local hobby scene. I'm hoping I get more time to explore that over the next while on this trip and future ones.

And I did get some sleep last night... though not the best... today is dragging... lol
