Entertainment autographs

Here are a few of the entertainment certified autograph cards picked up in the last 12 months.

This group also includes an authentic dual-signed piece of paper with the signatures of Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth on the same item.

First Appearances

This year I was able to pick up two comics which have been on my hitlist since the turn of the millennium.

An Old Friend

Growing up in Canada in the 70’s and 80’s, we all tended to watch the same shows for children. This is a special item that was available during his reading tours, and I was able to get one from the person who had it signed by the humble legend.

Space Relics and Fossils

I continue to look for Upper Deck space and fossil cards from special subsets they have released in past products.

Plante and Vezina

Like many other HI members, I have been collecting cards of these two legends for a long time.

The world of card collecting is filled with many “1 of 1” cards. For me, these are the quintessential one-of-a kind cards.

A gift from a friend

Last year, a good friend of mine named Doug passed away unexpectedly.

Doug was a lifetime bachelor and collector, and he left a huge assortment of collectibles (thoughtfully and lovingly cared for) behind him. I was able to help Doug’s family and friends go through his collection, and we brought to light some amazing items. The treasure pictured below was a favourite find for me, and Doug’s loved ones gifted it to me as they felt that Doug would want it to go to his fellow collector and friend where it would continue to be lovingly cared for and appreciated.

Doug pulled this poster off an arena wall in 1999 and had most of the wrestlers performing that night sign it. It is now one of my favourite items and will never leave the collection.

Thanks, Doug

Great additions. Love seeing your year end posts.

Thanks, Santa...I mean Anand!

Love those Name Plates! Good to see one of the Grim Reaper! Great mix of memorabilia, thanks for sharing! All the best in 2024!

Thank you!

What a great show and tell. Thank you for taking the time to share all of these wonderful pieces!

Thank you very much!

Such a range of great collectibles. But a Mr. Dressup auto? Super cool!

Thanks for sharing

Thanks! Definity happy with the Mr. Dressup signature!

I agree, the Mr. Dressup hat might be the star of the show for me, though I appreciate the Montreal Roys too. And I'm sorry about your friend. As a wrestling fan, I respect the poster itself and the personal meaning behind it for you.

Joe

Thanks a lot, Joe. Doug one time almost got in a fight with the legendary Virgil!

Some wonderful and meaningful pickups. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Much appreciated!

WOW! Some incredible stuff there!

--Curt

Thanks a lot, Curt! Hope to trade with you again in 2024!

Wow some solid additions. Loving all of them especially the first appearances of Blade and Ghost rider.

Thank you! I have been collecting comics even longer than hockey cards!

Ooh Yeeaahh! That Macho Man/Elizabeth is very cool. That wrestling poster is sweet too. The Cuban Assassin was legendary in Maritime wrestling. I used to watch him, along with Big John Stud, Stephen Petipas, etc, all the time with my grandmother.

Thank you, Terry!
