So I'm selling my collection off and I need supplies. A quick trip to the card shop on the way home to buy team bags, easy-peasy. And that's where things went south.



1) I don't collect cards anymore.

2) I know what I'm gonna get out of a box of cards if I buy one. I KNOW.



$134.99 later, as much as I hate Upper Deck, I hate myself even more.

Ladies and gentlemen, 2018/19 UD Artifacts. Can you believe that a four-card pack with a jersey in it only has three cards and still includes the decoy? So, thirty cards. Here's eight of them.














Unless UD works backwards from 18 to 1, that redemption is gonna be some guy whose last name I can't pronounce.

This is the part I miss. I love actually opening the packs up. If I could work at a store that did group breaks I think I would be able to live just off of that. I don't need the cards myself I just want to open the boxes and packs.

Included tax. And I'm sorry, but it really was a terrible box. Even if the redemption cards pan out, and they won't, they're boring. The whole thing was just an exercise in drudge. Whoever does the collating there should be flogged.

The main issue with artifacts is that jersey cards have been worthless for a while. You did hit a Kane dual jersey. Good luck getting more than a couple bucks for it though.

All the value is concentrated in a few rookie, patch, and auto cards now. Artifacts has always been low value for those.

If I might give my 2 cents here, why not give something like Invictus a shot? I know, no logos is a deal breaker for some, but I think you'll have fun with the break and get mostly legends, HOF and superstar players usually with some good themes and nice designs. Vintage memorabilia that can't be matched and a strong signature lineup also are strong points. I am biased yes, but I don't think you'll be disappointed!
