When H&P first came out I figured I'd try and collect all the Phanuef's. However I figured I'd wait a few months for the prices to drop. Apparantly that plan backfired, as his stock rose just a bit after the World Juniors. However, having just moved to Calgary, who better to start a player collection of then the flames #1 prospect.

Managed to make a deal with Steve(machattack39) from beckett to aquire this one. Good kid, and tries to make sure everthing in a deal goes as smooth as possible.

Might have overpaid a bit, but a least can rest easy now. Now to track down the gold in the numbers.

Congratulations on a nice pickup! My husband was offered that card for his own Phaneuf collection, but unfortunately, we didn't have the finances to make a fair offer. Nice to see it go into the hands of another Phaneuf collector though! It was tearin' Chris apart to have to let a /5 slip away.

Very nice... makes me wish I could have made a decent play for it. However, being that I overpaid for the ITN Gold and regular, I didn't have the finances to go for that one too.

I just have to hope one of the other three that I haven't heard about show up one day when I actually have the dosh to spend.

You have the 1/1 gold correct? Is it considered one of the five or is there 5 golds, plus the 1/1? :confused: If it's one of the 5, then there's only 3 others of that one aswell. Unless I want pay $500 for the one from the Hat. :rolleyes: Made a reasonable offer for that one, but he said if didn't sell for $500, "It would be lost from EBAY forever".

BTW, I have few early 90's mcsorley's, Mcamonds and possibly others I can send your way.

Scrufy - its actually three colors - well sort of :rolleyes: , didn't realize it until I held it, there's about two red threads poking through the top right corner.
