If I put as much effort into my job as I did searching for cards while I'm at work then I might be........successful? Feh, we're all worm-food in the end :D

SO.......today I got a package from COMC, which contained these two Pacific Exhibit TimeWarps..........

Which gave me the full set of ten.....

Annnnnd it had this as well, a 2016/17 SPGU Ryan Kesler black rainbow parallel, which you could only get by combining the purple ones from the e-pack site. I barely visit the e-pack site because I have brick & mortar stores to go to, but whenever I did go to get my "free daily pack" I'd see the ONE Kesler black parallel sitting there. I messaged the guy to see if he'd sell it, got no reply. Then a couple weeks ago it popped up on COMC and that was that. As far as I know, it's a 1/1 at this point.....

And it completes the rainbow....:cheer:

And last, I kept forgetting to bid on this card from North of 7. It started at 18.99, then 12.99, then 9.99, then 6.99. FOUR TIMES I missed it by like minutes. Or a full day hahaaa. Finally, I made a point of watching out for it. $4.99, which is just stupid considering what I was paying for these cards when I started in on this set. From 2006/07 ITG International Ice, it's your Canadian Dream Team Bobbyyyyy Clarkkkkke!!!

Which completes this little 12-card set.....

All in all, it was a pretty decent Monday :)

i love those time warp cards
I got the hulls

and congrats on finishing that dream team, i got 6 of the 12 , one day i aspire to complete the autos to that beautiful set

Cool stuff.

Those SPGU Blacks on ePack were silly. Nobody bought enough of that product to combine the cards themselves.... and they were tough to trade for.

E-pack makes me crazy. The only reason I ever go there is if I get an email alert for a trade and then I collect my free pack and then I take a look at all of the Kesler plates sitting there in digital limbo. I get it, you live in Futzhump TN and you've got an itch for hockey cards and the nearest card store is 300 miles away, so you open a pack or box of digital cards........ and then you just let them sit there??? Not to mention that just about every Upper Deck Series 1 Kesler Patch /15 from both this year and last seems to have been busted from an e-pack. So I go to COMC every day and hope for the best................

There are some strange habbits that a lot of users on ePack have.

I can't understand (for example) why anyone would just hang onto their digital base cards. I get holding out for base cards you want. If a Habs fan wants to do a team set of Gold Foils (for example) trade your other base for Habs base, not interested in trading for non-Habs base.

But if you're just not interested in building any of those foils - why wouldn't you move the base out for something that's transferable (swap a bunch of them for a Canvas, for example).

I also can't understand why people transfer their combinable cards out. Use SPGU as an example.... you can buy the purples on COMC for $2 or less (lots of them for under a buck) for most players, rookies included. Use your Kessler for example. There are 5 listed for under $2.. and 5 more for over $2. I bet if I go back in a month that number will either still be 10 listed for sale, or higher - as more transfer out.

If you're just looking to rip & flip - you'd be far better off keeping those Purples inside ePack, and trading purple-for-purple so you could get 5 of a kind, and transferring the black out instead, since there are so few of those cards put together.

Anything that's cominable is worth more inside ePack than it is outside. Why people send them to COMC, just to list for rock-bottom prices, and not sell.... beyond me.

The epack stuff drives me crazy as well. But those black parallels look deadly. That exhibit set is my favourite though. Do I ever miss those cards. That was back in the glory days of my collecting. Thanks for the blast from the past for me!

I didn't even know the black parallels existed! I guess the base "rainbow" in my signature is incomplete.

Thanks for the show.

There's ONE black Roy and eight purples on e-pack, time to get busy messaging and/or trading :loseit:
