UD1 Messier Patch #/8 sold on the bay

I thought you guys might be interested in this auction. Check out #5150020368. 2004-05 UD1 Meesier Patch Logo #/8. I was thinking about sniping it, but with no scan I thought it was too risky. I also thought this might be helpful for the people on the boards to put a "market' value on these Patch cards from UD1. I thought the price was fair, but the guy could have doubled the price if he had a scan. Opinions welcomed.

Pretty low price. Scan would have helped alot i think.

Also only shipping to canada/usa isnt helping since there is alot of us collectors in europe too...

Anyone want to speculate how much the card would have gone for, had it a scan and been available worldwide? My estimate is around $255

If it had a sweet patch I would have bid $250. I tried to email the seller to send me a scan, but he didn't respond. That made me uneasy about bidding that high.

Yea I'm gonna take the risk with there being no scan... not only does Messier have very few patch cards, but one numbered to 8 and a 3 color from that set, I *hope* I can't go wrong.

I think that Names patch is gonna sell for more than the Logos one /8 that I got did. Just shows you how a picture helps sell cards much better than an auction without one.

Maybe I'll re-sell mine when I get it.... or not.

when people say US only, I just email them & ask if they'd ship to Canada, they usually charge a buck or 2 more, but usually around 80% of the time people will do it. It never hurts to ask!

and if your seller is in Canada, its $3.20 to ship a bubble mailer with a couple of toploaders to europe, so if they want to charge you $10, you know you're getting taken.
