I expected Mike Pierce to grind out Palhares, but Toquinho made quick work of him with that beauty Heel Hook. He was not awarded Submission of the Night; however, due to “unsportsmanlike conduct” in refusing to release the hold after the referee intervened.

Palhares has been released by the UFC following his actions last night.
