i would like to know the problem to produce a card without damage on the surface since it's shipped directly from the factory to the customer...someone able to explain

on the left lower and upper corner

it has to do with the stock that's used for the card, how many layers the card has and the way that it is cut. Not every card comes out of the factory gem mint- in fact far from it. I also see the damage on your card as being extremely minor (sorry)- maybe a blow up scan of the affected area(s) would better illustrate what you are talking about. Also being that it took UD so very long to even produce this card I would think that it would be a huge risk to send it back into their system to try to get a replacement. Just my two cents....

I'd have to agree with Dave on the above.

as i see your point...i have to say waiting over 1 year for a card that wasn't just included in the but also the eyecatcher on the box and while beeing a redemption it dropped 250 us dollar BV i am not satisfied in any way with this card!!!!maybe i have to sleep a night or two about it...

So your saying the demage is small it is a gradeable gem???;)

I don't know much about grading and certainly I understand your frustration over the long wait and any damage that the card has. I just think that you have the potential to be even more disappointed if you send it to UD and they can't replace it. I'm not saying for sure that will happen however unless the card has severe chipping or creases I personally could live with it especially after the long wait involved in its production. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Be happy you finally have the card in hand, the rookie update dual auto's showed us UD redemption process at it's finest. The card is nice enough to want a nice copy of it but they are correct I am not sure if i would chance it by sending it in. If anything I would suggest calling and having them tell you they can replace it prior to sending it in.

That card would be lucky to grade a BGS 9. The edges look pretty chipped on the left side. If has to not only be perfect to the naked eye, but also under magnification. I can see the chips along the edge in the scan. Definitely not a BGS 9.5.

just to let you know i just calmed down a little bit on this issue and i think
that sacrebleu just hit the truth... i should be happy that i got my redemption instead of a replacement.. it's not the way it should be but it's the reality!
bye the way if i look at number of the card i can't complaine about it second best to the real jersey numbering...thx everyone
