Saskatchewan (8-9-0) @ British Columbia (12-5-0) 10:00pm EDT

Hoping for an Eskies win and Rider loss. That way the Riders can go through the East which appears to be the easier path this year.

Hamilton @ Toronto match up

Henry Burris and the Ticats will look to do their part in securing a spot in the 2012 playoffs, as they visit Rogers Centre for a meeting with the Argos on Thursday night.

Needing a win on Thursday combined with a loss by the Eskimos to Calgary on Friday night in order to move on to the post-season, the Black and Gold will look to keep the ball rolling after getting an emotional win in last weekend’s final game at Ivor Wynne against the Bombers.

Burris threw an early touchdown pass to Chris Williams, while Greg Peach scored on a Buck Pierce fumble as the Ticats roared to a 28-18 win to ignite the home Ivor Wynne crowd one last time.

The fireworks will have to continue with a trip across the QEW this weekend, as the Ticats get a crack at evening the season series with the Argos.

While the Ticats once again need a win to stay alive, the Argos may be more focused on getting prepared for what’s to come the following weekend, after booking a home playoff date thanks to an impressive win in Regina.

Toronto takes this game 43 - 40.

This loss by Hamilton opens up the crossover of either Edmonton or Saskatchewan to the eastern semi.

Calgary @ Edmonton Preview

The Stampeders roll into Edmonton looking to put an end to their provincial rival this weekend, as the Eskimos could enter this Battle of Alberta needing a win to advance to the post-season.

Some say there’s question as to who the starting quarterback in Calgary might be heading into the playoffs, but in last weekend’s dominant 41-21 home win over the first-place Lions, Drew Tate and Kevin Glenn both showed why having two hot quarterbacks isn’t such a bad thing.

The Stamps surged to a 31-0 first-half lead thanks to some stout defensive play, while Glenn, Tate, and Bo Levi Mitchell had a touchdown pass each as Calgary appears to have full momentum heading into its final regular season game.

The Esks, meanwhile, passed on a chance to lock up a trip east for the playoffs, after falling 27-25 to the Alouettes in a thrilling finish at Percival-Molson Stadium.

Toronto takes this game 43 - 40.

This loss by Hamilton opens up the crossover of either Edmonton or Saskatchewan to the eastern semi.

Saskatchewan already had at least the crossover locked up, just a question of who finishes third in the West and who finishes fourth and goes to Toronto.

Montral @ Winnipeg Scouting Report

The Bombers look to say goodbye to Canad Inns Stadium in style on Saturday, as they cap off their 2012 season with the Hall of Fame game and a visit from Anthony Calvillo and the Alouettes.

Saturday’s game will be about showcasing young talent at quarterback and looking to end an era with an important win in front of the home fans.

With Joey Elliott’s status still in the air and Buck Pierce ruled out, youngsters Alex Brink and Justin Goltz are each expected to get substantial playing time, as the Bombers coaching staff gets a glimpse of the possible future in Winnipeg.

The Alouettes on the other hand will likely get their starters into the game for a little bit, as they get a dress rehearsal for the playoffs before a week off in between games.

After that, they’ll host the winner of the Eastern Semi-Final at Olympic Stadium with a shot at advancing to the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto.

The Als appeared in mid-season form in last weekend’s 27-25 win over the Eskimos, jumping out to a 19-1 first-half lead before holding off a late surge from Matt Nichols to preserve the win.

Calvillo threw for 321 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while six different players had at least 30 receiving yards as the Als continue to overcome injuries in preserving their offensive success.

Saskatchewan @ British Columbia Scouting Report

The Riders and Lions clash for the fourth time this season on Saturday at BC Place, as the two teams meet for one final game before taking part in the post-season.

While BC already knows where it’ll be playing on November 18, the Riders aren’t even sure what side of the country they’ll be on for a contest on November 11.

A playoff spot is certain for Darian Durant and co., but depending on the result of the Eskimos-Stampeders game on Friday night, the Riders may need a win on Saturday to avoid traveling east to play the Argos.

Coming off a close loss to Toronto, they’ll have a chance to get a major boost on the road against a tricky Lions squad on Saturday night.

The Lions will also be looking to get momentum back on their side, following a 41-21 loss to the Stamps in freezing temperatures at McMahon Stadium.

Decked out in all-white uniforms, BC never really bounced back from a rocky start as backup quarterback Mike Reilly’s 261 yards and two touchdowns weren’t enough to overcome a 31-0 first-half deficit.

Personally thrilled the Riders are heading West , never bought the East was an easier road. Playing at McMahon is basically a relocated Home Game. Brings a good week of buzz , and with the Regina Rams CIS win last night , if the Dinos do their part it's a complete Saskatchewan Football invasion in the foothills next week. Can't wait.

The stupidest decision in the world, the old ice the kicker move, backfires for Edmonton as Paredes missed the initial kick, then drilled the second. This needs to be banned in all levels of football, it is just bad.
