Thought I'd start a page where we could write our thoughts from the day at the wjc!!! About your team or another team, let's hear em!!!

1.) Canada looks like a power house again. I know it's early but they dominated the play tonight against Russia!

2.) Barzal is a beast!!! Love his vision, will look good on the Islanders next year!!! Islanders got a good one in him, especially as they gave up an ahl defence man to get him!!!

3.) Strome and Jost also really impressed and I like the Roy kid as well!

4.) Still nervous over goaltending but not terribly.

Barzal was all over the place. Him and Chabot are the engines on that PP unit that are going to be so key for Canada down the stretch.

Jost was very solid too last night.

Thought the scoreline flattered Russia overall honestly. Pretty strong opening performance for the Canadians.

Nico Hischer looks really good. He'll be a potential top 5 pick.

Barzal will be the new face of the Isles. JT will probably be traded at the deadline. Re-build again along with Beauvillier, a high 1st pick, and the assets from trading JT.

They will not trade JT! They are close now, playing poorly, but still close.

So, who does Canada start next game?

I'm not too sure where the coaching staff stands on the goalies as I haven't followed this squad too closely. Although, if I had to guess, whoever gets the last tune up game against Latvia before the big US game is most likely going to be the guy the rest of the way.

The Slovakia game was a pretty tough indicator of anything for Ingram. Canada only gave up 6 shots. Just ridiculous.

Hard to judge a goalies performance when the highlight of his game is him falling on the way to the bench during a delayed penalty. I can imagine the ribbing he took for that one.

Close to what? Best chance at 1st overall??

It's unfortunate, but I think offers for JT will be strongly considered. Maybe not this year, since he has a year still remaining, but probably next year.

Considering that Okposo was left to walk, and there are a bunch of UFA's in 2 years too, it looks like a re-build might be in considered.

For JT fans, I hope it's just the Isles setting themselves up to protect assets from the expansion draft.

Spoken from the centre of the universe in regards to hockey. Hart and Ingram are both studs and were expected to be there and won the jobs with near flawless exhibition. Sam steel surprised me but not the goalie selection!

wow owen sound is the center of the universe in regards to hockey? we probably have the most passionate fans in the entire ohl but I think you are giving us a little too much credit. My opinion doesnt come from my geographical location but rather from watching him 30 plus times a year the past 3 years. No I think the decision was already made before he was even invited to camp, and the two goalies that are there are fantastic choices. McNiven may not have been the best goalie in camp, but he certainly wasnt the worst of the three either.

Going back with Ingram, like the move. He was getting better and you can't blame him for a couple of the goals. Go Canada go!!!!
