Eleven professional wrestlers, including the WWE's Randy Orton, have joined the list of athletes linked to a nationwide steroids investigation.

SI.com reported Monday that Orton allegedly received eight prescriptions for six different drugs — including stanozolol, nandrolone and testosterone — between March 2004 and August 2004. According to the documents SI.com reviewed, two doctors whose names also appear in Gary Matthews Jr.'s file, wrote prescriptions for Orton.

Orton, through the WWE, declined comment, SI.com said.

In its review of documents, SI.com reported it found Adam Copeland, a.k.a. Edge, and Shane Helms, a.k.a. The Hurricane, received HGH from Applied Pharmacy in Mobile, Ala., one of the pharmacies raided in the investigation led by Albany, N.Y., District Attorney David Soares.

Through the WWE, Copeland and Helms didn't respond to a request for comment, SI.com said.

WWE spokesman Gary Davis told SI.com that WWE policy prohibits performance-enhancing drugs but would not say whether any wrestlers have tested positive since the policy was enacted.

Also linked to the scandal, in various reports, are baseball's Jose Canseco, John Rocker, Jerry Hairston Jr. and David Bell, former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, Pittsburgh Steelers doctor Richard Rydze, 1996 Olympic wrestling gold medalist Kurt Angle and bodybuilder Victor Martinez.

Monday, SI.com also reported Arizona doctor David Wilbirt's name has come up in multiple files, including Angle, Oscar Gutierrez (stage name Rey Mysterio) and former WWE star Eddie Guerrero, who died in 2005.

Through the WWE, Gutierrez declined comment to SI.com about the report that Wilbirt had prescribed him nandrolone and stanozolol.

Wilbirt told SI.com he's not practicing medicine now.

"I'll tell you one thing and then this conversation is going to end," Wilbirt told SI.com when asked about the professional wrestlers. "They had done blood work and had laboratory work

I think they are just stirring things up, because last I remembered WWE does a Drug Wellness program where they screen their wrestlers every 20-30 days for performance enhancing drugs, and if they fail they are either fired or not on tv!

So how the heck do you explain guys like Batista? The Masterpiece? Bobby Lashley? etc.

Thats not really natural no matter how much you "train"

As long as they dont throw the Honkytonkman in the slammer im cool with it.Greatest Intercontinetal Champ ever!! Lol

orton won the wwe title in 2004 didnt he? he was 21 at the time. dont know could be wrong but i think he made his in ring in late 2004 then went to evoulition

How you explain body builders who look better than them, who aren't allowed to use steroids?

Do you really believe wrestlers are clean? Comon, I know your a wrestling fan but take off your glasses.... half of those guys are juiced!

How can guys like Kenny Dykstra, the Masterpiece, Orton, etc be like 21, 22 years old and be that ripped? It defies logic.

And body builders train literally 15 hours a day 7 days a week. The Wrestlers are on the road way to much in comparison.

Anyways, point is your fooling yourself if you think wrestlers are clean. Heck in the last 10 years how many have died at young ages? I don't see that in any other professions

Most wrestlers use roids. Vince more than likely encourages it, he likes his wrestlers big and talentless, ie The Great Khali, etc

Actually you bring up a good point... I remember watching an interview with a wrestler a while back (man I can't remember who) and he said its basically encouraged in the company

bastista and chris masters are totally on the jiuce.... lashley i dunno.. he was pretty big when he was in the miliatry

Edge was apparently on the juice, but like many others, shyed away when Eddie Guerrero passed away.

Rey Mysterio's name has been thrown around too, however, he may be given a pass since he may have been using it for the sake of rehab.

orton made his first appearance in 2002 so it is possible he is on the juice. and it was lex luger that did the interview and said it was encourgaed. and no i dont think all wrestlers are on the juice boby lashley was huge when he was a marine. alot in wrestleing is fake the story lines the drama. but ya cant fake tacks in your back or the blood that they spill.
