Upper Deck quality assurance at its finest yet again. . .

This can't be blamed on the supposed "low wage workers who do not know any better." This isn't an unreadable autograph like Samsonov, Gaborik, Hossa, etc.

They somehow managed to get this one right. . .

I guess 33% accuracy is good enough for a $60-70 per pack product.

Now that's Quality control !!!!!

Now it can be listed as an espo error card.....I was going to say 1/1 but it's a 2/2 print run.....any more out there?

Wow that is the first one turned the right way that I have seen...I would certainly say that the correct versions are MUCH tougher! There have been as many as 6 or 7 of the error on the `Bay at a time.

Quick observation Jay...are you sure Upper Deck's 100% at fault?

It looks to me like Espo signed the cards backwards. Look at the Blackhawks logo at the center of all 3 of the rinks...they're all turned the same way. If it was a case of inserting a correctly signed piece backwards, Blackhawk's head would be turned the other way.

UD gets partial blame for inserting the cards, but Espo gets equal, if not more blame for his lack of attention to detail.

It's still a quality assurance issue. Even if Tony Esposito signed the cards on the wrong side, then Upper Deck still should not have let them get out of the factory that way. I'm sure they had to even be inspected before getting them serial numbered, so that's at least 2 chances to have caught this problem... before serial numbering and before pack out.

PS: The Blackhawks head would not be reversed since we're only talking about the acetate window insert where the signature is located. That is not one piece with the picture and acetate.
